Last weekend we headed North...North west I guess to be precise. We met my parents at their mountain house in Sparta, NC. It was a gorgeous weekend. The temp stayed under 80 degrees the whole time! Its very relaxing up there, and there's not much to do but wind down. We didn't get there till late Friday, but Saturday we had breakfast on the Blue Ridge Parkway, headed in town to a craft fair, attempted to tour a winery (it was closed) and even made it to a quilt show...although Budge slept through the quilt show (maybe a good idea on his part!).
Saturday night we grilled out, my dad out did himself on another fabulous meal...so good I even took a picture! It was great to see my parents and spend some one on one time with them, and the backdrop of the weekend was absolutely wonderful!
