Mine is definitly on its last leg. I put new batteries in it Thursday, and by Friday the batteries were drained...oh well!
I had to start this post off with that because it explains why I have no pics from the weekend. And it was a great weekend to get photos!
Friday night Stephanie and I hit the road for a girls weekend. The plan: spend Friday in DC with Jenna, and Saturday in Baltimore with Caroline. We arrived in DC around 8 and made it to Jennas house with no problems. They have recently bought a row house in Capital Hill, and have been very busy doing renovations. It looks great! We spent the evening sipping wine and eating cheese on Jennas back patio...perfect way to unwind after a long work week.
Saturday we set out for Leesburg Va. They have an amazing outlet center there and we were pshyched to get some retail therapy. We shopped till we dropped, and got some nice new things. We then headed to Baltimore. Traffic was a nightmare due to some kind of Republican protest that was going on in DC. We didn't time our Bmore trip perfectly because when all those protesters were leaving the district we were right there with them...needless to say it took a long time to get to Baltimore, but we made it!
We had drinks at one of Carolines neighborhood bars, then set out to the inner harbor for a lovely dinner. We then made our way back to Carolines and enjoyed good convo and blue moons on her roof deck. It was great catching up.
Its always nice visiting with your girlfriends, and I hate I don't have photos to document our time.
We made the trip home Sunday and I came home to a spotless house (thanks to the hubs), and a day of laying on the couch watching football. Although both the Panthers and the Redskins lost it was still nice to be with my family, and Budge even cooked dinner! It was a perfect way to end a nice weekend.
