We had such a great weekend. It was chock full of all kinds of stuff, friends in town, football, cook outs and sushi!
Friday we headed to Greenville. We met up with some friends at an old watering hole Bolis for some drinks, then headed back to T & G's to rest up for the game Saturday. Saturday we woke EARLY to start the whole tailgating thing. The game was at noon, which in my opinion is way too early! We headed to the game and the first half was a complete wash...the opposing team looked pretty awful. It was so hot out there and the game was pretty uneventful so we headed back to T & G's to watch it on tv in the a/c. Appalachian actually made a comeback in the second half, and it ended up being a bit of a nail biter, but the Pirates prevailed and won 29-24. Go Pirates!!
After the game we headed back to Raleigh for a much needed nap! The combo of heat, and lack of sleep wore us out! That night we met up with some friends who had also come back to Raleigh for sushi and drinks downtown. It was the perfect way to celebrate the win!
Sunday we had people over for a Labor day eve cookout. We played holy board, beer pong, and there was even a pinata! It was so nice to have old and new friends over, and even nicer that there was no work Monday!
Budge and I totally vegged on Monday. I ended the evening with dinner with to old dear friends Amanda, and Jeremy who were in town for a wedding. We ended up going to eat sushi too...which was fine with me!
It was such a nice weekend. We saw good football, and got a chance to catch up with some really great friends. I vote for all weekends to be 3 days long!
